Shearing machine is one of the necessary machinery in sheet metal processing factories, and often all products are cut by shearing machine. The shear blade is an important part of the shear. The quality of the blade determines its service life. In many cases, the gap between the upper and lower blades determines the quality of the cutting and the maintenance of the blade during installation. Therefore, the installation of the shear blades is professional installation. On the one hand, it can improve the installation efficiency, and on the other hand, it can prevent the misoperation of the upper and lower blades from dislocation and breakage and damage. Then, if the gap between the upper and lower blades is too large or too small when installing the shear blade, what impact will it have on the blade, machine or product?
1. The impact of the shear blade gap is too small.
Generally, the standard for the gap between the upper and lower knives is 0.02mm, which is equivalent to the thickness of a piece of ordinary A4 paper, and during the installation process, cutting the paper with a shearing machine is a common practice to adjust the gap. If the gap between the upper and lower knives is too small when adjusting the gap, one possibility is that the cutting edge of the blade is over-loaded, and the cutting edge is directly worn out, causing the shearing knife to be unsharp; the other is that the upper and lower knives are misaligned due to other factors. , The upper knife cuts off the knife, which directly causes the cutting edge of the shearing blade to crack. This situation is easy to accidentally injure the staff.
2. The influence of the blade gap of the shearing machine is too large.
This is also a mistake that non-professionals will make when installing the blade. In order to prevent the shear blade from hitting the knife, simply enlarge the gap. In fact, this is incorrect. Generally, if the gap between the upper and lower blades of the shearing machine blade is too large, on the one hand, the size of the cut wool will be inaccurate. It is possible that the burr of the wool will be large and it will not feel smooth, especially when processing thin plates, such as 0.3mm. For thin plates, the standard knife edge clearance is 0.03mm. If the gap is too large, it may reach 0.04mm, so the burrs will be particularly scratchy at the cutting edge of the thin plate; on the other hand, it may cause splints, and the effect of cutting thick plates may not be obvious. However, if you cut a thin plate, it is likely that the plate will be directly sandwiched between the blades and it is difficult to take it out. This will not only wear the knife edge, but also directly cause the machine to strike. Therefore, the clearance between the upper and lower blades of the shear blade should not be too large.
Whether the shear blade gap is too large or too small, it is very bad for the blade, shearing machine or product wool. Only when installing the shears blades, let the professionals operate and ensure that the gap between the upper and lower blades is uniform and reasonable, can the shears blades work.
