Operating Regulations of Shearing Electromechanical Welders

There are electric welders in every industry, but the welders of shearing machine manufacturers should pay more attention to their work. They must follow the operating procedures to safely complete their tasks:

(1) Before work, check whether the welding machine's power cord, lead-out line and each connection point are in good condition. If the line crosses the carriageway, it should be overhead or covered with a protective cover; the welder's secondary circuit and shell must be well grounded; the welding clamp handle The insulation must be good. There should be no more than three welding loop connectors.

(2) The welding workshop should be ventilated, and dust removal equipment should be installed in the fixed welding place to prevent diseases such as "welders' pneumoconiosis", "manganese poisoning" and "metal fever";

(3) The electric welder must wear insulated shoes when operating, and the electric welder must be connected to the neutral line to prevent electric shock. Wear welding gloves, long underwear, and use a welding mask to prevent infrared, strong visible light, and ultraviolet radiation, and prevent skin burns, and the arc "dazzling" can cause vision loss.

(4) Nitrogen oxides are generated during welding of copper alloys, aluminum alloys (non-ferrous) metals, spray welding, and cutting. It must be carried out in an environment with unobstructed ventilation. Wear a gas mask if necessary.

(5) In case of improper protection, welding operators should go to the hospital for treatment in time when the above-mentioned injuries occur.

(6) For those who have been engaged in electric welding operations for a long time, it is necessary to establish occupational health records and perform regular physical examinations. For medical examinations that cause diseases due to work injuries, they must be transferred from the original work to prevent aggravated injuries.

(7) Shearing electromechanical welders should master general electrical knowledge and follow the general safety regulations of welders; they should also be familiar with fire-fighting techniques, electric shock first aid and artificial respiration methods.

(8) After the welding machine is started, the welder’s hands and body should not casually touch the secondary circuit conductors, such as the live parts of the welding tongs or welding torch, the workbench, and the workpiece to be welded.

(9) Wear gloves when changing electrodes, and do not lean against iron plates or other conductive objects. Wear protective glasses when knocking on scum

Welders should undergo certain technical training before they start to work, and then they can be given safety training. The safety department of the shearing machine manufacturer should also regularly review whether the welder’s work complies with the operating procedures to ensure the safety of the employees.
